I photograph moments that I want to remember forever. More importantly, I photograph scenes that may have otherwise become forgotten. Images inspire recollection. I strive for an accurate memory. Time seems to go without permission. The ironic aspect is that to capture the moment sometimes involves removing oneself from the moment. Take a step back, focus, compose, steady, be silent, and then contain what is, what was, and what you hope to always recall. Sometimes, after all these insights, I awake with a photograph that is worth sharing.
